It's best to choose a natural tree from sustainable sources or a high-quality artificial tree that you can reuse for years to come. For example, we've had ours for over twenty years and it's still going strong!

Instead of buying plastic decorations , opt for natural materials like wood, cork, rattan, or linen. You can also make your own decorations with natural elements like pine cones, branches, dried flowers, or fruit!

Replace your traditional string lights with LED models, which are much more energy efficient. You can also choose solar string lights that recharge during the day.

Eco-friendly gifts to celebrate Christmas

Christmas gifts are another important part of the holidays. But how can we make them more eco-friendly ?

• Focus on the experience : offer intangible gifts like cooking classes or online subscriptions.
• Choose sustainable products : choose quality, repairable and durable items, second-hand or handmade.
• Opt for eco-responsible packaging : avoid plastic packaging and prefer reusable paper, cardboard or fabric.

Christmas Eve is a time to indulge. But here too, we can make more eco-friendly choices to do good while doing good for ourselves!

• Less meat, more vegetables : Since meat production has a high environmental impact, add vegetarian or vegan dishes.
